Questions and Protocols
We’ve put together some of the most important info for parents and campers below. If you have further questions, just reach out to us and we’ll help you out as quickly as we can.
What is Free Kick Soccer doing with regards to safety at camp?
Free Kick Soccer prioritizes the safety of our participants and coaches. In order to provide a safe environment, we are constantly monitoring and following the guidelines set out by public health agencies such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Public Health Agency of Canada. This means ensuring that all camp participants and coaches are healthy and have not been in contact with or gone outside of the country within the last 14 days. Activities and games throughout the week will also ensure we comply with BC health experts and their recommendations. This means participants keeping a safe distance from one another with no close contacts such as handshakes or hugs.
What type of protocols will be enforced throughout the week?
We will encourage all participants to cover coughs and sneezes with their elbows and remind campers to not touch their face. Coaches will also ensure participants of a "no sharing" policy of foods and personal items. Hand sanitizer will be provided and participants will need to use it before camp, before eating, and after going to the washroom at a minimum. All equipment will be cleaned and disinfected prior to each session. As well, coaches will continually monitor participants and regularly check-up with them to see how they are doing (ex. are thirsty, hungry, or not feeling well).
